About The Position

This position works out of our Dallas, TX location in the Core Laboratory, Diagnostics Division. We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision-making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people. The Associate Scientist (Technical Product Development) will support on market products.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in life or physical science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Some related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots product performance issues; identifies root causes and supports resolution of technical problems related to on-market products.
  • Contributes to planning and execution of product support activities; provides input to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Participates in routine laboratory maintenance activities and ensures adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately documents activities in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Supports implementation and maintenance of the quality system to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness for on-market product support.
  • Recommends follow-up activities, testing, or process improvements to enhance product performance and reliability in the field.
  • Prepares and presents findings, trends, and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
