IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia is seeking an Associate Scientist – Phlebotomist. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory environment with knowledge of GLP
  • Active phlebotomy license with hands‑on blood collection experience
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document laboratory activities and results
  • Proficiency with routine laboratory calculations, data review, and quality control metrics
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to support cross‑functional laboratory teams

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Collect primary biological samples as a licensed phlebotomist for internal laboratory use
  • Analyze routine data to confirm procedures are operating within acceptable tolerances
  • Identify, document, and escalate analytical deviations or unusual results to senior laboratory staff
  • Prepare data analysis results for upload into the LIMS system under senior staff guidance
  • Assist with quality investigations, deviations, and corrective actions
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions required for laboratory analysis
  • Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and hands‑on training in areas of competency
