About The Position

The Associate Scientist will support the Materials and Cryogenics Science group within Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T), providing technical support for cryogenics, consumables, materials, and single-use systems used in commercial biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The role will support material and cryogenics technical evaluations, risk assessments, change management, material control strategies, validations and qualifications, supplier change evaluations, cold-chain laboratory studies, manufacturing investigations, and lifecycle management activities. Responsibilities also include authoring or revising CMC documentation, protocols, reports, and technical presentations. The scientist will collaborate with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and Global Procurement teams.

Requirements

  • BS with 2+ years of industry experience, or MSc, in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent scientific field
  • Pharmaceutical industry background
  • Awareness of cGMP compliance and regulatory agency requirements
  • Knowledge of common protein analytical tools and demonstrated hands-on experimental laboratory skills
  • Strong organizational, oral communication, and technical writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and experimental/troubleshooting aptitude
  • Ability to work effectively as both a team member and individual contributor
  • Self-motivated approach to work
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities
