About The Position

Responsible for executing lab tasks to contribute to the design and development of high quality products on time, within budget, and with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of lab experience in a regulated environment with a High School Diploma — Life Sciences, Biomedical, Microbiology, related science field
  • Basic understanding of skills necessary for good laboratory safety, aseptic technique, and basic Microbiology/Molecular technique
  • Consistently upholds and reflects the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotes.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment by managing tasks, multitasking, and adapting quickly to maintain productivity.
  • Detail orientation to complete tasks without errors and produce high-quality work.
  • Written Communications – including the ability to communicate technical data in written form.
  • Informing others by sharing clear, timely information to ensure alignment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Basic Skills in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelors degree in scientific field; Fields of Knowledge: Microbiology preferred, Biology, Clinical Microbiology, or Medical Technology

Responsibilities

  • Execute biological testing needed for assay development and system verification activities according to good lab practice.
  • Collaborate with other lab scientists to execute testing protocols and workflows within the lab.
  • Ensures that the project results and files are accurately documented and compliant with the company quality assurance and design control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) and comply with biohazard safety standards.
  • Handles biological samples, including human blood and sterile body fluids.
  • Prepare, maintain and manipulate microorganisms.
  • Prepares reagents (buffers, solvents, antibiotics, diluents) used for testing.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
