About The Position

The Associate Scientist II independently generates precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner. The role requires experimental precision, strong data interpretation skills, and understanding of the core discipline. The position contributes to projects primarily through laboratory and/or pilot-plant activities and requires adherence to corporate standards for conduct, safety, materials handling, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, typically with 3 or more years of experience; or a master’s degree or equivalent education with no additional experience required.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out the job function.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks competently and independently, generating reliable and consistent results.
• Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations.
• Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
• Learn and understand new experimental techniques.
• Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and modify protocols as needed to meet changing research or development needs.
• Place data in the proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in the relevant field.
• Contribute to projects predominantly through laboratory and/or pilot-plant activities.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drugs and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.
