About The Position

This is an entry-level role performing physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products, including tablets, capsules, devices, aerosols, liquids, creams, and gels. The position runs laboratory instrumentation independently, including various chromatographic systems, and prepares samples and operates some instrumentation with minimal supervision. The Associate Scientist also sets up and validates new analytical or related departmental processes, prepares standards and samples, executes method transfer protocols, documents work for GMP compliance, and performs monthly laboratory equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or another related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products.

Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department.
Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
Execute method transfer protocols.
Document work as required for GMP compliance.
Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment.
