About The Position

The Associate Sales Representative will assist Sales Representatives in the marketing, promotion, and sales of VTE products. This role involves educating doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff on the proper use and maintenance of Stryker PV products, including product functionality, updates, changes to the product portfolio, and educational programs. Following extensive product training, the employee must be able to tailor Stryker PV’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on appropriate product selection, answer questions about product functionality, and differentiate Stryker products from competitors. The position also includes directing product evaluations in OR and office settings, potentially assisting with trade shows and conventions, keeping the regional manager informed of territory progress, solving product problems for customers, and managing sample inventory. Adherence to OR and OSHA guidelines, as well as GMP policies and FDA procedures, is mandatory. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must understand and adhere to all OR and pertinent OSHA guidelines when conducting a product evaluation.
  • Must adhere rigidly to all GMP policies and procedures as stipulated by the FDA.
  • Following extensive product training, the employee must be able to tailor Stryker PV’s promotional message based upon knowledge of the customer, advise on appropriate product selection, answer customer questions about product functionality and distinguish products from those of Stryker’s competitors.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Sales Representatives in the marketing, promotion and sales of VTE products.
  • Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel as to the proper use and maintenance of Stryker PV products, product functionality and updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs.
  • Tailors Stryker PV’s promotional message based upon knowledge of the customer, advises on appropriate product selection, answers customer questions about product functionality and distinguishes products from those of Stryker’s competitors.
  • Directs product evaluations in OR and office settings.
  • May assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings.
  • Keeps regional manager informed of territory progress on a regular basis.
  • Solves product problems for customers in an expeditious fashion.
  • Manages and maintains a sample inventory of products.
  • Understands and adheres to all OR and pertinent OSHA guidelines when conducting a product evaluation.
  • Adheres rigidly to all GMP policies and procedures as stipulated by the FDA.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
