Associate Sales Engineer

InfobloxAustin, TX
$95,000 - $125,000Remote

About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Sales Engineer to join our Americas Sales Engineering team, based remotely in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. In this high-visibility role, you will support the full pre-sales lifecycle — from technical discovery and product demonstrations to POC/V support and RFP responses — while building the expertise needed to grow into a trusted technical advisor across the AMS region. Collaborating closely with experienced Sales Engineers and Account Executives, you will develop deep knowledge of Infoblox's DDI, DNS Security, and cloud networking portfolio, participate in global technical training programs, and leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate customer value delivery. This role offers a clear and supported path to becoming an independent technical advisor across a dynamic, multi-vertical AMS territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within a technology organization
  • Genuine interest in networking, cybersecurity, and/or cloud technologies, paired with strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Practical AI fluency — confident use of AI-assisted tools for technical analysis, demo preparation, solution design, and customer conversations, with understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in enterprise networking and security contexts
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI)
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, customer-focused sales engineering environment
  • Comfort navigating a geographically large, high-velocity pipeline across multiple verticals and time zones spanning North America and Latin America

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Infoblox products or comparable DDI/DNS Security technologies
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar)
  • Exposure to cybersecurity concepts — Zero Trust, threat intelligence, DNS-based security
  • Experience working with or supporting channel partners and resellers
  • Prior SDR, BDR, or inside sales experience in a B2B technology environment
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or similar CRM/sales engagement platforms
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers, growing into full ownership of customer-facing engagements
  • Support and eventually lead Proof-of-Concept/Value (POC/V) engagements for Infoblox solutions
  • Lead customer discovery to identify requirements and business challenges, mapping them to Infoblox's offerings using the Value Framework Selling Methodology
  • Leverage defined pre-sales tools and processes to support Sales Engineers in field engagements
  • Support and own responses to RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation requests as expertise develops
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Infoblox's DDI, DNS Security, and cloud networking solutions
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and platforms — including internal Copilot-style solutions — to accelerate technical discovery, tailor demos and POCs, analyze customer environments, and articulate the value of Infoblox's AI-driven networking and security capabilities
  • Contribute to technical documentation, solution diagrams, and sales collateral
  • Enable partner technical sales teams on Infoblox solutions and positioning
