About The Position

As Sales Engineer, AppSec you’ll drive business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise on the value of our Application Security products. The role will include defining customer needs and applying technical knowledge to develop solutions that support sales goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years Technical or Sales Engineering experience in the application security domain
  • Strong understanding of application security concepts such as reverse engineering, code obfuscation, anti-tamerping and anti-debugging techniques, RASP, OWASP, and how security tooling plugs into the SDLC without interrupting release cycles.
  • Experience developing Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C) applications or securing mobile applications.
  • Interest in ongoing learning with a curious attitude
  • A deep understanding of computer technology, such as how applications are compiled and linked. Experience developing in Python and/or Java
  • Excellent communication skills, willingness to collaborate with others often and produce outcomes for customers and sales prospects.
  • Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, both internally and externally

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Proficiency in the Digital.ai AppSec products, or similar solutions
  • Preferably located in CST or EST time zone

Responsibilities

  • Bring your AppSec technical expertise to quickly start positioning our AppSec solutions with customer prospects. Then, expand your knowledge into other areas of the Digital.ai product suite.
  • Lead as a domain expert in the value of Digital.ai products, acting as the technical lead on strategic client relationships across industry verticals.
  • Lead sales engineering activities including technical discovery and qualification, technical value proposition, architectural guidance, sales campaign support and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance on application security concepts with strong skill sets in techniques used in secure application design.
  • Establish and maintain an understanding of the overall Digital.ai technology portfolio and the competitive landscape.
  • Help sell and foster ongoing customer success.
  • Work closely with key client decision makers on demos and proof of values to ensure the product or solution meets the client objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with the account executives.
  • Occasionally travel domestically.
