The Associate Researcher is an entry-level laboratory research position that conducts routine, standardized experiments using techniques specific to an assigned research project, under the supervision of a Principal Investigator or senior researcher. The role analyzes and assists in interpreting research outcomes and may provide laboratory and clerical support. The lab studies how the microbiome modulates host physiology. It uses molecular and cellular techniques—including 16S rRNA and shotgun sequencing, bacterial culture, cell sorting, and genomics—to investigate how microbes affect immune and autoimmune disorders and shape early-life immune development.
