About The Position

The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment.

  • No experience required

Responsibilities

  • Support a broad range of experimental, organizational, and analytical activities within the laboratory.
  • Perform animal handling and mouse colony management, including: Scruffing and restraint procedures. Ear tagging and tissue collection for genotyping. Health monitoring and welfare assessments. Breeding coordination and colony maintenance. Management of transgenic mouse lines.
  • Assist with and conduct in vivo electrophysiology experiments, including: Animal preparation and handling. Experimental setup and equipment preparation. Data acquisition and recording procedures. Post-experimental processing and documentation.
  • Support day-to-day laboratory operations by: Organizing laboratory supplies and materials. Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating purchases. Restocking commonly used reagents and consumables. Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Process, organize, and analyze experimental datasets using computational and statistical methods.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, databases, and documentation.
  • Generate figures, data summaries, and reports to support research activities.
  • Present experimental findings and project updates during regular laboratory meetings.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and investigators to support ongoing research initiatives and ensure efficient laboratory operations.
