About The Position

An Associate Researcher I position is currently available within the laboratory of Dr. Ginzburg within the Tisch Cancer Center, division of Hematology/Medical Oncology. The laboratory focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which iron metabolism and regulator therein contribute to pathophysiology in a variety of malignant and non-malignant conditions. Using a strong combination of mouse models, primary patient samples, and cell lines when needed, microscopy techniques (RNAScope, confocal and FRET microscopy), cutting edge high-throughput tools, flow cytometry, as well as molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, we are able to dissect mechanisms thereof. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work in a stimulating scientific environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for daily maintenance/ care of laboratory operations as well as performing laboratory work in support of scientific research conducted in the lab. The individual will report directly to a Principal Investigator. The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment.
