Associate Researcher – Functional Fibers Pilot Operations

Procter & Gamble•Saint Bernard, OH
•$61,600 - $70,850•Onsite

About The Position

Research and Development (R&D) at Procter & Gamble (P&G) offers diverse roles in innovation and product development, including product research, formulation, testing, and scientific analysis. The Associate Researcher role is an entry-level position for individuals with basic science and math skills who are eager to apply them through hands-on experiments. P&G's R&D encompasses several major areas: Product Research (understanding consumer needs for product design), Product Formulation & Design (translating consumer needs into delightful products using available technologies), Analytical (using lab equipment for problem-solving), Packaging & Device Development (creating and improving consumer-pleasing packages), and Process Development & Pilot Plant Operations (scaling up processes from lab to manufacturing). The Disruptive Platforms (DP) organization at P&G drives innovation for next-generation products and packaging by developing sustainable platform technologies. Functional Fibers (FF) is a key advancement within DP, with the potential to transform multiple P&G brands. Technical Stand 5 (TS5), the Functional Fibers pilot plant, is where new ideas are tested, materials are evaluated, and processes are refined for both breakthrough and next-generation technologies. The Associate Researcher will be a hands-on contributor in this dynamic pilot plant environment, executing experimental and operational work to support Direct-to-Consumer Product Development (producing FF-based materials for consumer evaluation) and Foundational R&D & Process Breakthroughs (developing scientific understanding and refining processes for FF technologies).
