About The Position

ATI Advisory is a healthcare research and advisory services firm changing how businesses, communities, and public programs serve complex populations. We deliver insight backed by original research and provide practical solutions for our clients and the families they serve. Our team includes nationally recognized experts across Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care, and provider delivery, and we bring an influential voice to efforts transforming health care. Our Provider Strategy and Care Transformation Practice helps providers and the organizations that serve older adults and people with complex needs design, launch, and improve better models of care, including the health information technology, data, and interoperability capabilities that support them. As an Associate, you'll do the research and analysis behind that work and help clients turn it into strategic priorities, technology and implementation plans, and decisions they can act on.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, health administration, health informatics, health information management, or a related field
One to two years of work experience
Interest in healthcare policy and/or public programs
Clear, concise writing

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Medicare and/or Medicaid regulations and policy
Exposure to government procurement or grant applications

Responsibilities

Keep concurrent tasks moving through documentation, project plans, notes, and meeting logistics, raising issues early with a proposed fix.
Summarize action items and coordinate the organization of materials and team responses.
Draft technical assistance materials, including tools, templates, and session summaries, and track follow-ups until they close.
Review your own work and the teams before it reaches a client, correcting inconsistencies, and checking figures against source data.
Research federal and state health care programs, policies, and regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and health IT and interoperability requirements to answer defined research questions, and check the work so the findings hold up under scrutiny.
Analyze and summarize state RFP requirements and funding conditions.
Turn analysis into summaries, exhibits, briefs, and presentation sections that a client leader can understand and act on.
Build subject matter expertise through directed and self-guided learning, and share what you find with the team.
Work alongside colleagues in person and virtually, including at firm offsites and occasional client sites.
