About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Quality Systems Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role involves assisting in the review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes, and services. The specialist will maintain quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements. Responsibilities include collecting and verifying data to identify root causes of routine problems, providing ideas for corrective actions, and supporting quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers. The role also involves assisting with hardware, software, and system-level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, and related business, regulatory, and customer requirements, documenting audit results, and compiling data for material review disposition. The position operates under general supervision.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 1+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions
  • 1+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality management Systems (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word
  • 1+ years of experience in performing data analysis
  • 1+ years of experience in the application of AS9100

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
  • Have or have held an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License
  • Experience working in a Lab/Flight Test environment
  • U.S. Security Clearance
  • 1+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 1+ years of experience in quality, lab test and/or metrology
  • 1+ years of experience working with Regulatory agencies (e.g. DCMA, FAA)
  • 1+ years of experience working with programing languages (e.g. SQL)

Responsibilities

  • Assists in review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services
  • Maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures
  • Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems
  • Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development
  • Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements
  • Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements
  • Documents audit results in standard formats
  • Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition
