Associate Quality Production Specialist
About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space & Security is hiring an Associate Quality Production Specialist in Huntsville, Alabama. The role primarily supports program Non-Conformance Reviews (NCRs), assists with approving work instructions, supports Quality inspectors, and interfaces with customers and stakeholders. The position works under general supervision and is expected to be 100% onsite. The candidate must be able to work any assigned shift; initial training and future support may occur on variable shifts, at the hiring team’s discretion and according to business needs. The position may require up to 5% travel. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required after starting. The role also must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, which require a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62. Boeing will not sponsor employment visa status. Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
Requirements
- Experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System standard.
- More than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.
- More than 1 year of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes.
- Ability to work onsite and any assigned shift.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government for clearance eligibility, and an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required post-start.
- Meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
- Satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
Nice To Haves

- More than 1 year of experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
- Experience performing line stock checks.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance.
- Experience communicating with employees, customers, peers, and multiple levels of leadership.
- Experience working with and building cross-functional teams and partnerships with multiple company stakeholders, including engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reviewing and validating product non-conformances, disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements.
- Support analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes.
- Participate in investigations to determine the root cause of nonconformance.
- Apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
- Gather data and provide recommendations or solutions for nonconforming plans, products, or processes.
- Assist with developing, modifying, and documenting actions to resolve problems or implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans, hardware, or processes and submit the actions for review.
- Support concurrence and obtain commitments to support program resolution.
- Participate in and observe validation of corrective actions to ensure nonconformance has been eliminated.
- Verify internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
- Create airplane-specific airborne software packages.
- Conduct audits to ensure media is stored and handled according to engineering-defined requirements.
- Assist in creating reports and coordinate with responsible parties for internal distribution.
- Assist with approving work instructions, support Quality inspectors, and interface with customers and stakeholders.
