About The Position

This role involves supporting the revision of quality processes and procedures within the Aerospace manufacturing environment. The Associate, Quality Engineering will be responsible for tracking corrective actions, determining root causes for non-conforming products or materials, and analyzing quality performance data to collaborate on improvement plans. The position requires an understanding of mechanical and assembly drawings, industry workmanship standards, and quality management systems like AS9100 and ISO9001:2015. The role also includes performing internal audits and utilizing industry quality metrics for return-to-green planning.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, Quality Sciences or related field, or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.
  • Ability to understand what quality processes and procedures are required in the Aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to track open Corrective Actions.
  • Familiarity with 8D RCCA process, corrective action plans and implementation.
  • Ability to determine root cause for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read mechanical and assembly drawings in a real-world application.
  • Knowledge of industry workmanship standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001).
  • Ability to analyze quality performance data for factory.
  • Ability to collaborate with Operations Engineers to develop improvement plans for identified problem areas.
  • Understanding of industry quality metrics and return to green planning.
  • Ability to perform internal audits.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System Requirements and required internal audits (AS9100, ISO9001:2015).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and presenting data.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
