About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Internship in a quality or engineering position
• 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance or a related role, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality inspection plans and checklists for receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
• Support Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards, ensuring disposition of discrepant materials by the cross-functional team.
• Support Root Cause and Corrective Actions with the cross-functional team to identify discrepancy drivers and assist with the development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with supplier quality engineers to facilitate root cause and corrective actions at the supplier regarding non-conforming and discrepant materials.
