About The Position

The Associate Quality Control position is responsible for performing laboratory testing, including routine tests on products and materials, under supervision. This role involves maintaining the lab, preparing samples, recording results, and setting up/cleaning testing equipment. The associate will also identify and report equipment and testing issues, ensure the availability of necessary supplies, and enter data for compliance checks, reporting any abnormalities. A critical aspect of this role is adhering to SOPs and cGMPs, applying critical thought to problem-solving, and working with scientific methods and techniques. General supervision is provided for routine tasks, with detailed instructions for new assignments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or High school diploma or GED, with 4 years of experience
  • Associate's degree and 2 years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience
  • Must be available to work 2nd Shift - Wednesday to Saturday, 2PM to Midnight

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’ degree in Scientific / Biotech / Pharmaceutical field of study, preferred 0-5 years experience

Responsibilities

  • Performing laboratory testing.
  • Assisting with/completing routine tests on products and materials and helping generate laboratory results, under supervision.
  • Maintaining lab from housekeeping and stocking perspective.
  • Performing appropriate tasks in the laboratory (e.g. sample prep, recording of results) to meet needs and demands of the work plan.
  • Setting up and taking down testing and other laboratory equipment and cleaning up the testing sites.
  • Identifying and highlighting equipment and testing issues.
  • Supporting with the availability of proper equipment and supplies for testing.
  • Entering data evaluated for compliance to specifications and reporting abnormalities.
  • Reading, understanding, and following SOP’s and complying with cGMP’s.
  • Applying critical thought to solving problems.
  • Working on problems requiring an in-depth knowledge of scientific methods and techniques.
