About The Position

NCR Atleos is hiring an Associate QA Test Engineer for its Professional Services team. The role focuses on hands-on manual testing of ATM applications and hardware to ensure solutions meet business requirements before reaching banking customers. Testing includes real transaction flows, such as card insertion, PIN entry, and cash withdrawal; error conditions such as cash jams; and verification that correct information reaches backend systems. The team is beginning to adopt automation, and the engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to future testing practices. Training on NCR Atleos ATM products and business will be provided. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office. It also requires travel of up to 50% across the United States, including working at customer locations, often for about a week at a time. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Employment offers are conditional on passing applicable screening criteria.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
0–2 years of testing experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
Working knowledge of software testing methods and the software testing life cycle, including Agile.
Basic computer science knowledge.
Hands-on experience testing hardware, software, or both.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States and work from customer locations.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to handle several tasks at once and work well on a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ATMs, self-service devices, or financial transaction systems, such as NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, Wincor, or Hyosung.
Experience testing devices that combine hardware and software.
Basic networking knowledge, such as TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi, routers, and Ethernet.
Experience with defect tracking or test management tools, such as Jira or Quality Center/ALM.
Exposure to test automation tools or concepts.
Fluency in French or Spanish.

Responsibilities

Run manual tests on ATM applications and hardware to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements.
Test end-to-end transaction flows, including card, PIN, cash handling, and error conditions, and confirm correct data reaches backend systems.
Design and run test cases based on business requirements and specifications.
Assist the Test Lead or Project Manager with test planning and effort estimates.
Maintain test logs, record results, and track progress against the test plan.
Find, document, and report defects, and follow them through to resolution.
Participate in requirements and documentation reviews.
Work on-site with bank customers across the United States, often for about a week at a time.
Collaborate with developers and other test engineers to apply good testing tools and practices.
Learn NCR Atleos ATM products and share lessons learned and improvement ideas with the project team.
