The Associate QA Engineer will drive quality for the Nitro platform and help modernize testing as part of the same function as building and deploying software. This is a junior opportunity for someone seeking a career in QA and automation. The role begins with hands-on day-to-day testing and can grow into broader ownership of test automation. The team is investing in an AI-forward testing environment, and the role offers an opportunity to contribute to that work as the Operations organization evolves toward evaluating AI-native systems.

Requirements

Genuine interest in building a career in QA and automation.
Entry-level to approximately 1–2 years of QA or testing experience.
Comfort moving between technical detail and business context, with an interest in why tests matter as well as whether they pass.
Familiarity with coding using Claude or a similar tool.
Strong foundations in Java and SQL.
Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with API/UI test automation frameworks and tools such as Cucumber and Selenium.
Experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, and IAM.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day QA across releases, including new data connectors, schema changes, customer rollouts, and platform upgrades, ensuring changes are solid before reaching customers.
Reduce false-failure noise in the test suite and improve its efficiency so the team can rely on its results.
Understand the business logic behind data pipelines and assess whether tests are testing the right things.
Build new automations as new features roll out.
