About The Position

The purpose of this job is to ensure that instruments are processed into saleable inventory status as soon as possible. This position handles receiving items into PRG locations, inventory placement, picking orders, packaging orders, and the safe movement of items electronically and physically throughout the KCDC. This position will also occasionally assist in inspecting inbound inventory and preparation for photography and video presentation.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
  • Associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Use of various glues and solvents, buffing wheel, soldering iron and drills.
  • Warehouse environment with personnel constantly loading, unloading, and moving inventory in and around your work area.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience disassembling/assembling guitars
  • 1 year of guitar playing experience
  • Novice musical instrument/gear knowledge
  • Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic proficiency with standard business applications such as the internet and email

Responsibilities

  • Receipt of new items into PRG inventory and labeling items to be placed into location.
  • Preparing locations and items for photography.
  • Movement of items electronically and physically throughout the KCDC.
  • Researching order notes for specific requests from customers.
  • Picking, packing, and loading items for order fulfillment.
  • Building Shipping boxes.
  • Identifies and records instrument weight, description, and serial number for the Riversand serialized database and order notes.
  • Performs inbound inspections and separation of items for sealed and non-sealed inventory.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
