About The Position

The Associate Engineer works under general supervision, coordinating engineering tasks and communicating with other organizational resources to complete project assignments involving new or existing products and product lines. Work may focus on Operations, Design, or Marketing, depending on company needs and the employee’s interests. The role reports to various Business Unit management, such as the Marketing Manager or Applications Lead, and involves performing a variety of tasks under general supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Experience with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (required).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks for different departments.
• Flexibility to change job scope multiple times.
• Ability to present to an audience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering tasks and communicate with organizational resources to complete project assignments.
• For an operations route, participate in or lead Kaizen events; design cell layouts; create work instructions; evaluate equipment effectiveness; fabricate fixtures; create capital expenditure requests; design, test, or evaluate products; conduct time studies; and supervise a manufacturing team.
• For a marketing route, participate in marketing program design, product marketing, customer support, sales support, pricing, new product development, product installations, and product return evaluations.
• Present to an audience.
