About The Position

ATC is seeking a technically curious, safety-focused engineer to address power system challenges, advance digital substation solutions, and support work from concept through commissioning and operation. The role combines power systems expertise, disciplined engineering judgment, thorough documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to help keep the transmission system safe, reliable, secure, and prepared for the future. The engineer designs and supports protective relaying, substation control, automation, and metering solutions, including digital and hybrid substation architectures. The position also develops relay settings and engineering studies, investigates protection and control events, and supports installation, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance at substations. The role includes operational support through a rotating on-call schedule, with occasional after-hours response as business needs require. The work takes place in both office and substation environments.
