About The Position

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Associate Proposal Analyst to join their Aeronautics Systems Sector in the Pricing and Estimating Group. This role involves working closely with multiple engineering and manufacturing functions, Global Supply Chain, Program Management Office, and Business Management. The position is 100% onsite in Melbourne, FL, and does not accommodate telecommute work. The Associate Proposal Analyst will support various proposal activities, including Firm Proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), and pricing exercises, to meet program and business goals. They will help lead proposals by providing clear Pricing and Estimating direction from kick-off through execution. This includes compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements according to RFP specifications, collecting cost data from functional representatives and subcontractors, and collaborating with other functional areas to develop strategies. The role also involves preparing cost reports, presenting results to management and customer representatives, supporting team initiatives, and assisting with risk and opportunity assessment. Additionally, the analyst will participate in contract negotiating teams, maintain quality and compliance, support customer fact-finding and DCAA/DCMA audits, and research historical data to develop cost and pricing models. Ensuring proposals are timely, accurate, and compliant with RFP specifications, FAR/DFARS requirements, and Sector Estimating System and Procedures is crucial. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Be completing or has completed their degree Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or STEM related degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Melbourne, FL.

Nice To Haves

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or higher
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of proposal activities (Firm Proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), pricing exercises) to meet program and business goals
  • Develop and help lead proposals by providing clear Pricing and Estimating direction from proposal kick-off and continued guidance throughout the process for successful proposal execution
  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) specifications
  • Collect cost data from functional representatives and subcontractors
  • Interact and collaborate with other functional areas (Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Logistics) to develop strategies in support of proposal requirements and deadlines
  • Prepare cost reports and presenting results to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators and customer representatives
  • Support Pricing and Estimating team initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process
  • Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team
  • Maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics
  • Effectively support customer fact-finding and DCAA/DCMA audits
  • Research and analyze historical data, develop cost and pricing models to support proposal efforts
  • Ensure proposals are timely, accurate and compliant in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, FAR / DFARS requirements and Sector Estimating System and Procedures
