The position involves a mix of office-based project management and hands-on field work for environmental projects in Connecticut and surrounding areas. Requirements

  • BA/BS in Environmental Science or related major is required
  • Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a related field
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with Connecticut-based regulations
  • Demonstrated technical report writing proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required
  • Must be available for infrequent night and weekend work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices
  • Must be able to travel 40% regionally

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with State Superfund and applicable federal and state regulations preferred
  • Connecticut- specific MS4 stormwater and CTDEEP regulatory/remediation experience preferred
  • CAD and GIS experience a plus
  • 40-hr HAZWOPER certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals for environmental projects, including technical scopes of work
  • Project management of CT-based environmental projects, including client communication and invoicing
  • Prepare technical reports (RAPs / COIs / GMRs)
  • Conduct ASTM Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments
  • Collect field samples of soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and drinking water
  • Provide oversight of site investigation and characterization as well as contaminated site remediation
  • Support emergency response services
  • Communicate and collaborate with others
  • Manage workloads and records
  • Implement health and safety policies
  • Meet financial-based targets
