About The Position

As an Associate Project Manager, you will provide critical operational and administrative project management support to the packaging design team throughout the development process. You will coordinate workflows across internal design, engineering, QA, and product development teams, as well as external licensors and overseas vendors, ensuring new packaging is delivered on time and meets global standards. This role is a 7 month contract position.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in business, communications, project management, or a related field
  • Professional project management experience, preferably supporting creative, packaging, or consumer product development teams
  • Experience coordinating complex asset submissions and tracking approvals through licensor portals or external databases
  • Prior experience managing project timelines, tracking documents, and routing tasks across cross-functional departments
  • Familiarity with production quoting processes and coordinating with manufacturing partners in China
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and digital asset management workflow tools
  • Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet, as well as database tracking spreadsheets

Responsibilities

  • Submit packaging artwork, text, and graphic assets to external companies, licensors, and regulatory agencies for review and approval
  • Coordinate translation and proofreading requests, track progress, and manage associated monthly vendor purchase orders and invoices
  • Input product setup specifications, including barcodes, SKUs, distribution territories, and release dates, into external approval portals
  • Upload, download, and archive digital design assets, maintaining organized shared file structures for global teams
  • Track and document product development samples, manage licensor sample shipments, and log pre-production samples for packaging photography
  • Liaise with manufacturing teams in China to distribute preliminary packaging structures for quoting and monitor margin implications
  • Maintain and update shared development timelines to track and report milestones across packaging, design, engineering, and QA
  • Implement routine package design updates to meet global compliance requirements and coordinate running change releases to global markets
