About The Position

This role supports our Charlotte, NC branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Charlotte, NC area. As the Associate Project Manager, you will assist Project Managers with reviewing project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent. You will also develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation requirements. You will manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects, review plans and specifications, and participate in project cost reviews. Additionally, you will be responsible for contracting of subcontractors, tracking resources and project progress, documenting project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency, creating project-specific change-order opportunities, project-specific billing, collaborating with the Project Manager, and project-specific close-out documentation. You will also adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Project experience strongly preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the low voltage controls industry (HVAC and Fire Alarm systems)

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
