About The Position

The Associate Project Engineer works at Abbott Nutrition’s Sturgis, Michigan location and administratively manages small- to medium-scale projects. Projects may include utility, facility, and infrastructure installations; office, laboratory, and manufacturing areas; manufacturing facility and equipment upgrades; and warehouse expansions. The role supports project management, financial tracking, scope and cost development, construction coordination, procurement, and communications with project teams, stakeholders, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or Project Management.
• 1–2 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• PMP certification.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent.
• First Aid / CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Manage project financials, including maintaining budgets and cash flow projections.
• Assist with project scope, cost estimates, and RCE development.
• Work closely with construction teams to manage schedules, resources, and scope, and ensure adherence to internal and external standards and specifications.
• Provide procurement support, including sourcing and qualifying suppliers and service providers, preparing for competitive bidding, adding vendors to Abbott’s procurement systems, processing purchase orders and invoices, and tracking on-time deliveries.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Communicate status and upcoming activities to project teams, stakeholders, and management.
