As a Project Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Know and apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system focus area . Assist teams that support customers with the design, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems, both on-site and from SEL offices. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions
Willing to travel both domestically and internationally a minimum of 25% based on focus area. Up to 80% travel.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

Nice To Haves

College coursework in electric power and/or controls (power system protection, symmetrical components, programming, control systems)
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
Work experience in electric utilities, industrial plants, communications, computer programming, or construction
