About The Position

We are seeking a new Associate Project Accountant to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As an Associate Project Accountant, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago Office and could have potential to be partly hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
0-2 years of experience in an accounting centric role
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical skills and problem solving
Have good to great organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and programs
Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
Have good to great organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree(s)
Experience within Engineering, commercial construction or a related industry
Working knowledge of construction accounting principles
Experience with subcontract agreements and lien waivers
Knowledge of Deltek’s VantagePoint or Vision software
Past accounting related internships

Responsibilities

Project set up and maintenance (rate table, budgets, contract management)
Ensure all invoices are recorded properly and timely to the correct projects, cost reports, and phase codes
Process AP vouchers
Assist with AR cash collection
Create accurate and timely project reporting
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues
Cost Analysis and Cost control (ownership and initiative for work performed)
