ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) Other duties may be assigned. Administers multiple quotes and the Request for Quote (RFQ) process with a basic understanding of cost drivers. Inputs quote data into spreadsheet form for analysis and reporting. Manages quote team to ensure accurate and thorough RFQ response. Interacts with Manufacturers Representatives (MR) and Sales Executives to resolve discrepancies in the RFQ. Assists Program Managers in administering customer contracts. Must be knowledgeable on the terms and conditions. Manages and empowers cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) and Customer Produced Product Transfer (CPPT) teams to achieve desired results. Generates and tracks cross-functional action item list. Works laterally through the organization to solve problems. Assesses risks and communicates them to upper management. Creates action lists and timelines per the NPI process and tracks programs from team meetings. Maintains cash flow, program timeline, resource and milestone charts. Generates, maintains and publishes weekly reports on cost, quality and delivery. Communicates progress with customers on a regular basis with the guidance from Senior Program Managers OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred, and knowledge of cost accounting, materials procurement (a plus), and proficiency in managing to timelines. Must also have at least two years of experience in engineering, high volume assembly management, procurement, or finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in multiple organizations a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical publications and reports. Ability to clearly communicate and document communications both verbally and in written form. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, engineers, clients and customers. Applied business and economic mathematics and analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Ability to operate a computer and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project for managing reports. Fundamental understanding of the RFQ process and business cost drivers. Experience in contract manufacturing. Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or Chinese. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and distance vision.While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
