About The Position

The University of Louisville, Department of Radiology, Vascular Interventional Section, is seeking a full-time academic Interventional radiologist. The position is for an ABR certified/eligible Interventional Radiologist (Open Rank). The division performs a wide range of IR procedures with a focus on oncologic, transplant, and trauma interventions across three hospitals, including a Level One Trauma Center and a solid organ transplant hospital. The role also involves participation in multidisciplinary conferences and lectures.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree or equivalent
  • Eligibility for Kentucky Medical License
  • ABR certified or eligible

Responsibilities

  • Perform vascular and interventional procedures including angiography, angioplasty and stent placements, oncologic interventions, GI/GU interventions, kyphoplasties, TIPS, CT-guided and US-guided biopsies and drainages, lumbar punctures, pain interventions and central venous access.
  • Provide clinical duties and training for Diagnostic Radiology Residents and an IR Fellow.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and trauma conferences.
  • Conduct resident case and core didactic lecture conferences.
  • Deliver medical school lectures.
