About The Position

This position focuses on the strategic development of the Student Program and is responsible for leading and delivering high-quality teaching across lectures, tutorials, practicals, workshops and other learning activities; developing innovative course materials and coordinating units, including supporting teaching staff and sessional academics. You will provide academic guidance and supervision to postgraduate, Honours and PhD students, oversee assessment and examinations, and contribute significantly to postgraduate training. You will also lead and undertake high-impact research, build collaborative research programs, publish in leading journals, attract competitive external and government funding, and contribute to research leadership. Through strong professional and disciplinary engagement, you will help advance the profile of regenerative medicine nationally and internationally, while actively supporting and aligning with the Institute’s culture, values and strategic priorities.

  • A distinguished record of scholarly and professional achievement.
  • A strong publication record.
  • Success in securing external research funding.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum innovation and postgraduate supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership across teaching, research and postgraduate education at ARMI.
  • Play a significant role within your discipline, contributing to its continued growth and reputation.
  • Lead the Master of Biotechnology as Chief Examiner and Course Director.
  • Serve as Academic Head of the ARMI Student Program, encompassing HDR, Masters and Honours.
  • Lead and deliver high-quality teaching across lectures, tutorials, practicals, workshops and other learning activities.
  • Develop innovative course materials and coordinate units, including supporting teaching staff and sessional academics.
  • Provide academic guidance and supervision to postgraduate, Honours and PhD students.
  • Oversee assessment and examinations, and contribute significantly to postgraduate training.
  • Lead and undertake high-impact research.
