About The Position

The Associate Production Scientist – Night Shift at the 3300 South Second Ave/ Cherokee site, will manufacture products according to established protocols, provide technical support to others and perform operations supporting the group and department. This role will support 24/7 manufacturing operations and work 12-hour shifts from 6:00pm – 6:30am including a 20% shift differential. The position is responsible for evaluating products, providing technical support, and performing operations to meet quality expectations. It also involves assisting with buffer formulation, scheduling and communication with ADC, maintaining required training, performing routine processes, cleaning equipment and areas, supporting facility functions, communicating operational status and concerns, maintaining accurate records, interacting with other departments, participating in quality audits, improving processes, resolving unsafe conditions, and training team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other science disciplines OR Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other science discipline
2+ years of production, GMP experience (pharmaceutical GMP operations environment, Quality, knowledge of Good Documentation Practices)

Nice To Haves

Familiar with laboratory instruments and production equipment
Knowledge of process techniques, unit operations, and safe chemical handling methods
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of ICH Regulatory and Quality standards
Knowledge of Operational Excellence

Responsibilities

Evaluate products according to established protocols
Provide technical support to others
Perform operations in support of the group and department
Safely perform operations to meet quality expectations
Assist with Buffer formulation

Clean equipment and working areas during and after operations
Support facility functions (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock supplies, waste disposal)

Provide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines
Ensure all applicable logbooks are completed as required by current procedures
Interact with other departments as needed and perform procedures independently and as part of a team
Participate as needed in quality audits and customer interactions
Improve processes by applying scientific knowledge, experience, and principles, in compliance with change control
Take action to resolve unsafe conditions
Train team members and act as technical consultants
