About The Position

Veranova is seeking an Associate Production Engineer for a 3-month project at its West Deptford, New Jersey facility. This role is part of the RISE (Rising Innovators for Scientific Excellence) program and focuses on conducting a Total Value Analysis (TVA) of the manufacturing operations. The goal is to identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities to increase enterprise value through operational excellence. The facility is a global leader in API manufacturing, operating under cGMP requirements. The project requires evaluating manufacturing performance using engineering, financial, and operational metrics to understand how improvements contribute to customer value, regulatory compliance, and long-term business competitiveness. This is a meaningful role designed to prepare associates for their future in the industry.

Requirements

Engineering degree or relevant background
Willing to work 12-hour shifts (follow production 2-2-3 shifts) including night shift 5:30PM-6:00AM
3-month time frame approximately July/Aug-September/Oct (start date can be flexible in July)
Authorized to work in the United States without further employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive Total Value Analysis of Veranova's West Deptford manufacturing operations.
Identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities to increase enterprise value through operational excellence.
Evaluate manufacturing performance using engineering, financial, and operational metrics.
Examine manufacturing operations from multiple engineering perspectives, including manufacturing process performance, capacity and asset utilization, facility layout and material flow, inventory management, maintenance strategy, workforce productivity, safety and EHS performance, and energy and resource utilization.
Evaluate both quantitative and qualitative factors that contribute to enterprise value.
Employ recognized Industrial Engineering methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE, Capacity Analysis, Bottleneck Identification, TCO, Risk Assessment, and TVA.
Produce an Executive Summary, Facility Overview, Current-State Operational Assessment, Manufacturing Process Maps, Value Stream Map, Total Value Analysis Framework, KPI Dashboard, Identification of Value Drivers, Improvement Opportunity Portfolio, Financial Impact Assessment, Implementation Roadmap, Risk Assessment, Final Technical Report, and Executive Presentation.
