About The Position

As an Associate Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy, plan and core product marketing deliverables of Domo products and solutions. The remit is broad and varied and gives the opportunity to work with stakeholders to develop and execute go to market strategies to address unmet or underserved needs of buyers. You will craft the messaging and positioning for products and you'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits are crucial. You will grow to be the subject matter expert on assigned areas of the product and have a key understanding of buyers, their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the various sales and marketing teams to enable them to be successful in growing the business.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business (specifically Information Systems), Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Autonomy: A proven ability to operate independently and take full ownership of tasks from initial concept to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects under tight deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Diplomacy: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and the ability to drive consensus among stakeholders with differing priorities and perspectives.
  • Communication: Excellent writing and verbal skills; a knack for crafting compelling stories for web and print that resonate with both business and technical audiences.
  • Core PMM Skills: Strong understanding of product marketing principles, including positioning and messaging.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience, including internships, in B2B enterprise software product marketing or a related role.
  • AI & Innovation: Experience with prompt engineering, building AI agents, or using Generative AI to optimize marketing tasks and workflows.
  • Data & BI Expertise: Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI), SaaS platforms, or data analytics. Experience using data to inform strategic marketing decisions is a plus.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort interfacing deeply with technical teams and a basic understanding of databases, APIs, or cloud ecosystems.
  • Content Creation: Experience producing multimedia content, including graphic design and video.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning, technical product messaging, and competitive positioning that resonates with diverse decision makers across various industries.
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, their architectural requirements, and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and perform technical gap analyses to effectively displace them.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering leaders to develop engaging content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and short videos that showcase product capabilities and thought leadership.
  • Work together with Solutions Engineers and Sales Enablement to create and maintain sales tools, including presentations, datasheets, competitive battle cards, and demo scripts to empower sales teams.
  • Campaign and Launch Execution – Work with various functional departments, including sales and services teams, to develop marketing programs, collateral, training materials, case studies, and newsletters.
  • Work with internal teams on lead generation campaigns with the Field Marketing teams and Revenue/Sales organization to reach technical audiences.
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and orchestrate the marketing programs that drive demand for your assigned technical products.
  • Create quarterly marketing plans including program elements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuous progress updates on technical reach and engagement.
  • Create and execute on the product marketing plan and strategy from concept to technical execution.
  • Help the extended marketing team quantify the performance of various marketing and communication initiatives by summarizing results on a regular basis.
  • Work with the marketing team on key deliverables for corporate and industry events, including session agendas, technical presentations, and keynote content.
