About The Position

The Associate Product Manager will support Product Manager(s) in defining product release requirements based on market problems. This role involves working with Product Managers and Marketing Communications to define the go-to-market strategy by providing key product and market insights. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with all areas of the company, particularly supporting the sales channel and customers. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of business and technical acumen, with a vision for product development and the drive to execute it. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding market problems and developing innovative solutions. Success is measured by meeting or exceeding product P&L commitments. The Associate Product Manager will be a key contributor to the P&L for on-demand audio and video interpreting services for both business and direct-to-consumer markets. Responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing product profitability and sales success, collaborating with vendors, operations, and customer service teams to reduce expenses and improve efficiency. The role supports on-demand interpreting products and emerging AI-powered solutions by translating customer, market, and operational needs into clear product requirements. This includes evaluating AI products, platforms, and capabilities to enhance data analysis, customer experience, operational efficiency, and product performance, while applying ethical and responsible AI practices. The position supports the customer throughout the product lifecycle, from marketing and sales to client usage, growth, adoption, and operations. Collaboration with vendor partners is key to creating optimal experiences for shared client bases. The role involves discovering, validating, and prioritizing market problems for the product development team, seeking new market opportunities, defining and sizing market segments, and conducting win/loss analysis. Partnering with sales teams to drive profitable revenue growth and acting as a market expert by speaking at trade shows, industry events, and webinars are also core functions. The role supports final marketing and go-to-market plans and participates in training sales, implementation, and customer service teams on product enhancements.

Requirements

  • High drive for customer satisfaction and delivering on results.
  • 2+ years of marketing, product development, sales, or product management experience.
  • Passion for building products and customer success.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp.
  • Proficiency analyzing product, usage, and operational data using analytics tools such as Elastic, Tableau, or Excel to identify trends, measure outcomes, and support product recommendations.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, and Slack.
  • Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target buyers and users.
  • Experience working with AI products, AI platforms, or AI-enabled workflows, with the ability to evaluate practical use cases and translate them into product requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools ethically and responsibly to optimize processes, daily workflows, and decision-making.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and identify the optimal one for the situation.
  • Must possess excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent business experience.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
