About The Position

As the Associate Product Manager, you will bring assigned product lines from concept to market on time and on cost. This role keeps project timelines, documentation, and cost records current, coordinates samples and information between internal teams and the Asia office, and carries the day to day work that keeps development moving. This role works closely with internal cross functional teams throughout the development cycle. This is a development role with growing responsibility.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant experience in product development, product design, or project management
• Foundational exposure to or understanding of plastics, materials, and global consumer manufacturing processes
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite, with a particularly strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel to manage data accuracy and cost logs
• Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple shifting priorities and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple departments
• A self-motivated, eager-to-learn mindset with the ability to take direction, apply constructive feedback, and confidently ask questions

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or an industry-relevant field is a plus
• Prior experience working in the consumer goods or toy industry

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Manager across all phases of product development from initial concept and competitive trend research through final mass production
• Create and maintain project timelines and documentation (via Smartsheet) to ensure seamless communication of changes across cross-functional teams and global Asia offices
• Request, log, and analyze 3D model, unit, and tooling costs from global suppliers while ensuring all outsourced work is properly quoted and approved
• Maintain the item master system with accurate costing, factory information, and product dimensions while reviewing variances against approved development budgets
• Partner with Brand Management and Design teams to coordinate the delivery and preparation of development, photography, and presentation samples for key sales meetings
• Assist in verifying that final products meet all functional specifications and strict safety requirements prior to market launch
• Participate in meetings with senior management to gain valuable exposure to cross-functional leadership and overarching brand strategy
• Perform other duties as assigned
