About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a remote Associate Product Manager - Connected Home Solutions in the United States. As an Associate Product Manager, you will support the Connected Home portfolio by managing assigned products throughout their lifecycle and serving as a key point of contact for customers and sales teams. You will translate market and customer needs into clear priorities, partnering with product and engineering teams to support product strategy and execution. This position may be based in Moon Township, PA, or remotely. The Associate Product Manager will work across sales, engineering, marketing communications, operations, and channel partners to support product growth and execution. The role is designed for a commercially minded, technically capable professional who can build customer relationships, communicate clearly, and take ownership of day-to-day product management activities while developing broader product line leadership skills. The Associate Product Manager translates high level product requirements into specific engineering requirements. This role drives the alignment of technical requirements between the Product and Engineering teams. The Associate Product Manager works closely with the Connected Home Engineering team and ARS product line teams to drive customer solutions and innovation. The Associate Product Manager will have knowledge of Energy Storage Systems, Communication protocols, and general power systems knowledge. Additionally, be able to communicate with both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, sales, application engineering, engineering, customer success, or a related role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with battery storage systems, connected-home, energy-management, residential electrical, or distributed energy resource products.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as required, up to 25%
  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to build credibility with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex product information for sales and customers.
  • Commercial judgment and comfort working with pricing, market data, forecasts, business cases, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through across multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous input into practical next steps.
  • Learning agility and curiosity for evolving connected-home technologies, customer needs, and business models.
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and execution levels, from roadmap input to day-to-day customer and sales support.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with software-enabled or IoT devices.
  • Working knowledge of residential power systems, electrical distribution, communication protocols, APIs, cloud-connected products, or home energy management systems.
  • Experience supporting product launches, sales enablement, customer training, pricing, forecasting, or product lifecycle activities.
  • Candidates currently residing within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned products within the Connected Home portfolio, including positioning, product information, lifecycle updates, roadmap input, and execution of improvement priorities.
  • Lead and support customer interactions to understand applications, pain points, purchase drivers, and emerging needs. Coordinate follow-up, maintain clear commitments, and bring customer insights back to the product line team.
  • Serve as a primary product resource for sales. Develop clear product updates, value propositions, FAQs, presentations, competitive talking points, and training content that help sales teams and channel partners confidently position the portfolio.
  • Support customer opportunities through product selection guidance, proposal input, pricing analysis, forecasts, business cases, and coordination of technical or commercial questions with the appropriate teams.
  • Support product launches from concept through commercialization by coordinating requirements, launch readiness, internal communications, training, sales tools, and post-launch feedback.
  • Translate customer and market feedback into actionable product requirements and priorities. Partner with engineering and technical teams to clarify use cases, tradeoffs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, connected-home ecosystems, channel needs, and relevant technologies. Summarize implications and recommend actions for the portfolio.
  • Coordinate across engineering, sales, marketing communications, operations, quality, supply chain, and other product lines to keep deliverables, decisions, and customer commitments moving.
  • Track key portfolio metrics, identify risks and growth opportunities, and support revenue, profitability, pricing, and forecast activities for assigned products.
