About The Position

This role is for an Associate, Product Management with Folio Financial, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. The position involves managing projects from inception to completion, delivering new features and applications to clients. Responsibilities include working on complex custody & clearing product initiatives by collaborating with various stakeholders to understand, prioritize, and solve problems with engineering teams. The role requires building and owning product backlogs in JIRA, organizing initiatives with clear business requirements, and collaborating with adjacent product teams and regional colleagues to drive product synergies. Additionally, the role involves working with technology and operations teams to develop new features, improve existing services, and streamline processes. A key aspect of the role is to translate insights from data analysis into actionable problems to solve, by analyzing user journeys, increasing wallet shares, identifying market trends, regulatory changes, and client demands. This includes ideation of new product features and enhancements, gathering requirements, and creating visuals to communicate these requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences. The position also requires participation, contribution, and communication in Product Roadmap planning, discovery, and delivery of product features.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Finance, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Using product and project management tools such as Jira, Journey Mapping, Working Backwards, and Writing Press Release for products
  • Utilizing RIA custody, clearing, or securities services, and SDLC methodologies
  • Performing data analysis to help investigate issues and product challenges using analysis tools and database models
  • Managing and working with DTCC (“The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation”) and FINRA initiatives that impacts RIA Custody Business
  • Engaging in product roadmap planning, backlog management, and feature prioritizing
  • Performing process improvements and streamlining operational workflows
