About The Position

This role serves as an engineering resource for R&D teams, specifically focusing on product segments like package sets or irons. The engineer will be responsible for key actions on a limited number of development programs under the direction of a manager, executing all components of a new golf club development. This includes creating and managing processes for new products and internal logistics, coordinating development with international suppliers, providing feedback to A-team engineers, and performing audits of manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with quality criteria. The role also involves utilizing lean problem-solving skills to address design and manufacturing challenges, creating and revising product specifications, implementing acceptance criteria for new product introductions, evaluating products against these criteria, and creating documentation for manufacturing. Additionally, the engineer will execute testing and analysis for product validation and qualification, and analyze daily factory WIP reports to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience as a development engineering working specifically on golf product or equivalent
  • Degree in Engineering related field or demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes (investment casting, forging, stamping, painting, etc.)
  • Ability to travel internationally approximately 5% of the year
  • Experience with measurement equipment and techniques
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Utilize lean problem-solving skills to resolve design and manufacturing product challenges
  • Create and revise product component and assembly specifications under direction of manager
  • Implement acceptance criteria for new product introduction and evaluate product per criteria
  • Create documentation for manufacturing of new products under direction of manager
  • Execute testing and analysis for product validation and qualification
  • Analyze daily factory WIP reports and direct manufacturing teams to resolve bottlenecks in manufacturing
