About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the product development pipeline, ensuring timelines are met, and collaborating with various teams to bring products from concept to creation. The Associate Product Developer will champion the licensor approval process, partner with the art team, create detailed tech packs, and serve as a technical expert for factory partners. They will also navigate production constraints, review samples and packaging, build relationships with licensors, maintain product development tracking documents, and collaborate with Quality and Compliance teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Development or 2-3 years of related experience in product development/creation in the consumer goods industry (accessories, apparel, footwear, etc.) – fast fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with product tracking tools and software
  • Experience in bill of materials (BOM) creation, spec sheet (tech pack) creation, design translation, product, and material experience
  • Understanding and experience with the product creation lifecycle in consumer goods industry
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator

Responsibilities

  • Manage development timelines for new styles.
  • Keep projects on track, flag risks, and maintain momentum with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate daily with Design, Licensing, factories, and cross-functional partners.
  • Champion the licensor approval journey by submitting products through proprietary platforms.
  • Partner with the art team to ensure assets are delivered on time and meet expectations.
  • Create detailed, factory-ready tech packs including materials, BOMs, EOQs, product instructions, and timelines.
  • Serve as the technical expert for factory partners, answering questions and clarifying specs.
  • Navigate production constraints and adjust to stay within manufacturing limits.
  • Review and approve all samples and packaging, providing clear feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with licensors to ensure products meet brand standards and receive timely approvals.
  • Master product development tracking documents, entering and updating product data.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Compliance teams to identify risks, resolve issues, coordinate testing, and ensure documentation is complete.
