The Associate Product Designer creates customer and business value by designing clear, usable product experiences grounded in user needs, data, and business context. The role collaborates with Product Management and Engineering to clarify problems, explore solutions, and deliver experiences for complex enterprise products. It uses modern UX practices, including AI-assisted research, design exploration, prototyping, and insight synthesis, to improve productivity and decision-making, while helping align user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. The designer contributes to defining problems and identifying user needs, workflow challenges, and opportunity areas through discovery, research, analytics, and stakeholder input. The role designs cohesive solutions for defined features, workflows, or product areas; creates annotated wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications; applies design-system components, patterns, and accessibility standards; and contributes improvements to shared components and interaction patterns. It also participates in research and turns findings into actionable recommendations, considering how feature decisions affect adjacent workflows and product experiences. Working with Product Management and Engineering, the designer translates user and business needs into design requirements and deliverables, considers desirability, feasibility, and viability, and incorporates feedback and validation findings into iterations. The designer owns assigned work from exploration through delivery with guidance appropriate to its complexity, communicates design rationale and evidence-based recommendations, participates in priority and trade-off discussions, and raises risks and unresolved questions early.
