You are collaborative -- ready to partner in initiatives that influence all aspects of the business and work with Googlers from all over the company. As an integrated part of the team, you proactively assess legal risks and advise on products that will not only move information into the 21st century, but move information law forward as well. As an Associate Product Counsel, you will help develop and implement legal approaches and policies for YouTube, helping product and operations teams make decisions based upon your sound legal judgment. You will be responsible for providing legal advice across many areas of law, including those related to the company's Responsibility initiatives regarding content moderation and generation, election integrity, news, health, machine learning and raising high-quality sources and addressing potentially harmful misinformation and borderline material in YouTube's search and recommendations systems. You will also support your colleagues throughout legal, operations, government relations and public relations on a range of product matters. This includes collaborating with Google lawyers outside the United States (U.S.) on critical matters, including litigation, investigations, and other regulatory work.
