As an integrated part of the team, you proactively assess legal risks and advise on products that will not only move information into the 21st century, but move information law forward as well. The Cloud Security Legal team supports Google Cloud’s suite of security and sovereignty offerings. The team advises product, engineering, policy, and compliance teams on the impact of global cybersecurity and sovereignty regulations on Cloud’s business and customers. This role initially focuses on several of the following areas: security incidents, outages, vulnerabilities, and digital sovereignty. In this role, you will partner with incident, outage, and vulnerability response teams to set response strategy, determine reporting obligations, and design scalable approaches in the wake of the agentic revolution. Additionally, you will support clients and key stakeholders as they build products and advocacy strategies in response to shifting customer and regulator expectations with respect to sovereignty. 20th century laws don't always solve 21st century problems, and Google Legal crafts innovative approaches for working with some of the toughest legal challenges of the information age.
