About The Position
Simon & Schuster Audio is seeking multiple Junior Associate Producers to support S&S Maverick Audio in all aspects of production. This role requires excellent writing and communication skills, along with a passion for books and audio. The Junior Associate Producer will assist in the production of audiobooks, which includes preparing for recording sessions, reviewing scripts, conducting research, verifying pronunciations, and coordinating with authors, actors, and freelance production staff. The role involves supporting senior staff through pre-production, recording, and post-production phases. Responsibilities also include casting, coordinating manuscripts and credits, managing schedules, handling post-production file management, and tracking deadlines. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- College degree necessary.
- Proficient with computers, both Macs and PCs.
- Proficient with database programs, Excel, and Acrobat.
- Proficient with file formatting.
- Detail-oriented.
- Highly organized.
- Careful and thorough reader.
Nice To Haves
- Administrative experience in publishing and/or creative production is preferred.
- Technical familiarity with audio file formats is a plus.
- A love of books & audio.
