About The Position

America Reports is seeking a talented, organized, and motivated Associate Producer/Writer with a natural curiosity for news and politics. The role involves writing anchor scripts, including readers, VOSOTs, and guest and reporter hit intros. The candidate should be able to write snappy lower thirds and teases, work effectively under deadline pressure, communicate exceptionally well, and bring a strong drive to succeed. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and demonstrated experience.
• Strong logistical and editorial skills, with knowledge of national and international politics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitask, and prioritize, especially during breaking news.
• Stellar communication skills and ability to work under deadline pressure.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ.

Responsibilities

• Write copy, including readers, teases, and intros.
• Pitch and develop unique, compelling stories that meet editorial standards.
• Watch events to identify news highlights and flag developments.
• Stay current on editorial information and communicate changes to managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate daily story development and report to senior and executive producers.
