Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 1+ years of experience working with semiconductor processing
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the semiconductor (III-V, II-VI, or Si) industry
- Experience in semiconductor processing, solar cell devices, material characterization and analytical techniques
- Experience with photolithography, thin film (metal and dielectric materials) deposition techniques, wet and dry etch processes, and high temperature annealing processes
- Experience with gated approach to process and product development and Aerospace industry material and qualification requirements
- Experience in programming with VBA, LabView, C, C+, C++, SQL
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, statistical process control, and lean principles
Responsibilities
- Provide sustaining process engineering support for production of solar cell wafers and solar cell assemblies
- Maintain process control using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools, troubleshoot process anomalies, understand operation of process equipment, and provide timely response to manufacturing issues and needs
- Interact closely with teams within the larger Operations group to achieve organizational goals
- Identify and execute continuous improvement and breakthrough new product or process ideas to reduce process cycle time, reduce product cost, and improve product performance
- Support Research and Development (R&D) activities associated with advancing solar cell technologies and reducing the cost of the products
