About The Position

At the state of the art PCB Factory in Moscow, ID, we are looking for the right individual to be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes chemical, automation, and mechanical engineers collaborating on optimizing industrial water recycling processes. SEL invents, designs, and builds digital products and systems that protect power grids around the world. This technology prevents blackouts and enables customers to improve power system reliability and safety at a reduced cost. A 100 percent employee-owned company headquartered in Pullman, Washington, SEL has manufactured products in the United States since 1984 and now serves customers worldwide. Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in statistics
  • Working knowledge in project management
  • Ability to train technical and non-technical staff
  • Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • B.S in Mechanical Engineering
  • Two years experience in a related world class manufacturing company
  • Thorough understanding of the materials used in the industry
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team
  • Project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support under general direction.
  • Assist management and engineering to specify, develop, justify, document, implement and sustain assembly processes equipment and materials.
  • Improve yield, efficiency and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Develop and/or conduct experiments to identify root cause of problems and evaluate process capabilities.
  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • Other duties as assigned.
